The past 13 weeks have witnessed furious competition between some of the region’s leading businesses in a bid to win the Dickinson Dees Enterprise Charity Challenge in aid of St Oswald’s Hospice.
Twenty companies from across the region have taken part in the entrepreneurial challenge to raise as much money as possible using £100 donated to each firm by Dickinson Dees.
St Oswald’s provides holistic care to both adults and children with life limiting conditions from across the region. In order to continue to provide this specialist care, the Hospice has to raise over £5 million every year through charitable giving to help cover the £7 million costs to run it.
To find out how much the companies taking part have raised, and for an excellent networking opportunity for all companies across the region, why not join St Oswald’s and Dickinson Dees in celebrating the success of the Dickinson Dees Enterprise Charity Challenge at an Awards Evening at As You Like it on 18 November. Please note all companies are welcome to join us.
Four expert judges, including The Journal’s very own Andrew Hebden, will convene to judge the efforts of all the companies involved and will be making their decisions as to who wins which of the 5 prestigious awards, including fundraising entrepreneurs of the year, outstanding innovation, commitment to the cause, most entertaining and most promising.
Don’t miss this unique opportunity to network and experience a show-stopping performance from magician come mind-reader, ‘Kennedy’ who will ensure that you have an unforgettable evening. Special guests include BBC Radio Newcastle’s Alfie Joey and a giant appearance from the world famous James Bond Villain, Jaws look-a-like, Gary Tiplady.
Tickets cost £15 and all proceeds will of course go to St Oswald’s Hospice. For more information or and to purchase your tickets, contact Viv Williamson on 0191 285 0063 (ext.369) or email vivwilliamson@stoswaldsuk.org
